Overview

N&D Stay With Me is a contractor and professional housing service based in London, offering fully furnished private homes for short and extended stays.

The client needed a website that could clearly communicate their offering to a very specific audience — contractors, corporate professionals, and relocating guests — while also making the booking process feel simple and trustworthy.

I designed the complete website, from structure and layout to visual language and content hierarchy. The goal was to move away from the generic Airbnb-style rental aesthetic and instead build something that felt professional, warm, and purpose-built for working professionals who need more than just a bed for the night.

Main Challenges

1. Communicating a Niche Offering Clearly
The contractor housing market sits in an awkward middle ground — it's not quite a hotel, not quite a long-term rental, and not quite a holiday let. The design needed to quickly establish what N&D is and who it's for, without confusing visitors who might land on the site with different expectations. Every section was written and structured to filter in the right audience and speak directly to their specific needs.

2. Building Trust for a Direct Booking Model
Since the client wanted guests to book directly rather than through platforms like Airbnb or Booking.com, the website had to do the heavy lifting that those platforms normally handle — social proof, security signals, transparency on pricing, and clear communication about what's included. This shaped a lot of the design decisions, from featuring real guest reviews to prominently displaying the Stripe payment badge and a dedicated "no hidden fees" promise.

3. Designing for Both Mobile and Desktop Audiences
Professional guests often browse properties on their phones during commutes or between meetings. The site needed to be fully responsive and feel just as polished on mobile as on desktop, with tap-friendly layouts, fast-loading imagery, and a booking flow that didn't require a large screen to navigate comfortably.

Different Sections & Pages

The website was thoughtfully structured to deliver a seamless and engaging user experience while staying true to the brand's professional and accessible identity. Each section was designed with a clear purpose, ensuring that users can easily navigate the platform and find the information they need. The content layout prioritizes clarity and usability, with a balance of visual appeal and functionality.

1. Hero Section

The hero leads with a clean, direct headline — "Stress-free temporary stays" — paired with warm lifestyle imagery of real-looking guests rather than staged stock photos. The intent was to immediately communicate comfort and reliability without overcrowding the fold. A single CTA, "Find Your Stay," keeps the entry point frictionless.

Below the hero, an audience filter — Corporate Professionals, Contractors & Consultants, Families & Students, Solo Travellers — does the quiet work of helping visitors self-identify and feel immediately seen.

2. Features & Properties Section

This section is the heart of the site, structured in two layers. The first layer presents the core amenities high-speed Wi-Fi, dedicated workspaces, free parking, fully equipped kitchen in a scannable icon-led format, making it easy for a busy professional to confirm the basics in seconds.

The second layer goes deeper with the property listings themselves, anchored by the flagship Modern 4-Bed Docklands House. Each listing was designed to replicate the clarity of a platform listing but with more warmth and personality, giving guests enough detail to feel confident without overwhelming them.

3. Why Book Direct Section

A dedicated section makes the case for booking directly rather than through third-party platforms. Six clear benefits — lowest rates, secured payment, flexible booking, self check-in, no hidden fees, and 24/7 maintenance — were laid out in a grid that is easy to scan and hard to argue with.

This section was particularly important for conversion, as many potential guests would arrive conditioned to use platforms like Airbnb and needed a compelling reason to trust a direct booking instead.

4. Social Proof & Reviews Section

Guest reviews were treated as a key design element rather than an afterthought. The testimonials section surfaces real, detailed reviews — guests mentioning specific details like parking permits, tube access, and host communication — which carry far more credibility than generic five-star ratings. The 4.82 rating is prominently displayed alongside the reviews to anchor trust with a recognisable metric.

Final Thoughts

N&D Stay With Me was a project about earning trust through design. In a category where most guests default to established platforms, the website needed to make a compelling case for going direct — and do it quickly, clearly, and confidently.

The result is a site that speaks precisely to its audience, handles objections before they arise, and presents a professional housing service that feels as reliable as the homes it offers. The combination of warm imagery, structured information, and transparent booking details creates an experience that turns a casual visitor into a confident guest.
